                       Blue Wave Bundling Command Macros
                       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                         For Blue Wave Mail Doors ONLY
     A `bundling command' consists of a string of Keyword, Filter and
     Other commands. A bundling command might look like this example:
           k10 k125 k2031 k3122 f22 f389 f2067 n2 u3628 1f327 14L148
     A `macros' is a command that types the above bundling command string
     with 2 keystrokes, i.e. m1 or m2 or m3, --- the "m" in "m1" or "m2" or
     "m3" stands for "macro."  Macros can also be made automatic so you
     don't even have to type "m1 [ENTER]" at all.
     It's important to point out that all Macros and Bundling Commands are
     unique for each individual BBS you call.
                             Offline Configuration.
     All Keywords, Filters and Macros can be done from the Offline
     Configuration within the Blue Wave Reader. This makes it very simple to
     change things. You do this when offline in the Closed Packet Menu or
     while reading an open packet. The changes are sent to the Blue Wave
     door when you next upload a reply (*.NEW) packet. NOTE: This only works
     in Blue Wave Doors and you must have previously downloaded a Blue Wave
     mail packet. To make a macro automatic, do this in the Blue Wave door.
     It can't be done (yet) from the Offline Configuration. One old Telegard
     BBS door doesn't have the automatic feature.
                                   Commands
         * = All.\ You can use                   - (dash) = minus
       ALL = All./ either one.                   + (plus) = add
       <area#> = the echomail area number or name, depending on the BBS.
     -* and -ALL are the same. They mean Minus ALL _selected_ echomail
     areas, or download 0 (zero) messages. +* and +ALL are the same. They
     mean + (add) ALL _selected_ echomail areas.
     Keywords are controlled by: K      Personal Messages (to You): P
     Filters are controlled by:  F      Last Messages in area:      L
     Macros are controlled by:   M      First Messages in area:     F
Note: K, F, M, P, L, F, can be small letters; Also, there are two "F"'s
      but each is used differently.
                            Selected EchoMail Areas
     There are two ways to select conference areas. One is in the Blue Wave
     door. Go into the Door, press "C" for Configuration Menu, "C" again for
     "Choose Message Areas for Download" then select the areas. The second
     way to select areas is to do it offline in the Blue Wave Reader. Use
     either the Closed Packet Menu, or if reading messages, the Offline
     Configuration Menu under "Areas."  Note that you must have previously
     downloaded a Blue Wave mail packet from the proper BBS to do this.
                                 Personal Mail
     P<area#>    Gathers only your personal mail in this one echomail area.^
     PALL or P*  Gathers only your personal mail in ALL echomail areas.^
                ^The echomail areas must have been preselected for download.
Examples: P1 P10 P100 P1000 <ENTER>, gathers all personal messages in areas
          1, 10, 100 and 1000 and ignores all other messages.
Note: Using either PALL or P* might result in a zero message packet with
      nothing to download. This could happen if there is not one message
      addressed to you in any of the areas you have selected. One exception:
      The SysOp can "force" areas to be downloaded and these areas are not
      overridden by using PALL or P* so you will get them.
      IMPORTANT: The new Maximus, RA, and SuperBBS doors have a new
      feature. When selecting echoes to read in these two doors, you can
      have them scan Personal messages Only, or Personal messages only +
      messages addressed to All. Eventually all Blue Wave doors will have
      this new feature.
                                 Using Keywords
     K<area#>    Gathers all messages with keywords in this one area.^
     KALL or K*  Gathers all messages with keywords in ALL areas.^
                ^The echomail areas must have been preselected for download.
Examples: K1 K10 K100 K1000 <ENTER>, gathers messages containing keywords in
          areas 1, 10, 100 and 1000.
                                 Using Filters
     F<area#>    Filters out messages with filter-words in this one area.^
     FALL or F*  Filters out messages with filter-words in ALL areas.^
                ^The echomail areas must have been preselected for download.
Examples: F1 F10 F100 F1000 <ENTER>, filters out messages containing
          filter-words in areas 1, 10, 100 and 1000. The echomail areas
          must have been previously selected for download.
                        Using Macros & Bundling Commands
     Macros, or Bundling Commands, are one, or a combination of commands
     for Personal Messages, Keywords, Filters and other bundling commands
     below. Macros may be stored in the Blue Wave door. They can be used
     either automatically, or only when you want to use them.
Example #1, Bundling Command:
             K1 K1000 F2 F200 P32 P303 -4 -5 -99 +99 -100 ! <ENTER>
     Explanation: Gather Keywords in areas 1 & 1000; Filter Messages in
     areas 2 & 200; Gather Personal Messages in areas 32 & 303; Minus all
     messages from areas 4, 5, & 99. Oops, Add in area 99; Minus area 100.
     Note the exclamation point (!) at the end of the string in the above
     example means: no more macros, start to pack up the mail packet bundle.
     The exclamation point (!) command is optional.
Example #2, Macros (for the above bundling command):  M1
     "M1" is the macros for doing the one long Bundling Command string shown
     in Example #1. You may have 3 bundling command macros: M1, M2, and M3.
     Each can be different but you are limited to a total of 10 keywords and
     10 filter-words per Blue Wave mail door.
     Bundling Commands and/or Macros (like Example #1) for Keywords, Filters,
     and Other commands may be manually typed in three places. (1). After
     pressing "D" to download a mail packet, at the ":" prompt after the
     areas have been scanned. Here you can type them one at a time, pressing
     <Enter> after each and <Enter> after the last one, or you can type them
     as one long string. (2). Within the "Macros" section of the Blue Wave
     door to make them permanent, and assigning a macros to them eliminates
     the need for typing long strings. They can always be changed. (3). In
     the Blue Wave reader's Offline Configuration which is then uploaded to
     via a reply packet into the Blue Wave mail door.
                            Other Bundling Commands
     <area#>F# =  for the FIRST X-Number of messages in an area.
     <area#>L# =  for the LAST X-Number of messages in an area.
     N<area#>  =  Do NOT update Message Read Pointer Flags.
     U<area#>  =  Force update of Message Read Pointer Flags
Examples:
     1F10  = area 1, First 10 msgs;   1000F100 = area 1000 First 100 msgs.
     2L10  = area 2, Last 10 msgs;    203L500 = area 203 Last 500 msgs.
     N3008 = Don't update pointers in area 3008.
     U1011 = Force pointers to be updated in area 1011.
                             Hope this helps! (tm)
